Hey Boys Staters! I was a 2008 citizen, and now I am lucky enough to come back and be a counselor. Boys State was an experience where words fall short, and where pictures never seem to fully capture the excitement of the moment. On my first day of Boys State I had no idea what was in store, but by the end I wish I could stay for several weeks longer. I arrived and quickly found out there was so many diverse things to do. I signed up to play flag football, ran for County Supervisor and State Comptroller. And put together a speech for the Oration contest. I met some great guys and learned a lot...not only about elections and State government, but about the other parts of the state where my fellow citizens came from. From late night pizza to early morning flag raising, Boys State is something to remember. Good Luck and Welcome to Boys State!
