Coming to Boy's State I was at a loss for what to expect. Boy's State can be one of the most enriching, rewarding experiences in which you ever participate-or one of the most boring. I highly encourage you to get involved in the many opportunities offered here. Play sports, run for positions and have fun. If you do this, you will leave Boy's State having enjoyed yourself immensely.

The morning began with breakfast.
Yes, mom, I got up and went to breakfast at 7:15 AM.
The Boys State Bank, Post Office, and Lincoln Library are open during all meals.
Citizens can safely deposit and withdraw their money throughout the week.
After breakfast, election officials were trained.
At Boys State, these citizens will run the various elections during the week.
Meanwhile on the schedule...
...others were attending a class in Parliamentary Procedure.
Citizens were selected to read a script of a mock City Council Meeting.
All meetings at Boys State are held under Parliamentary Procedures.
In addition to city caucuses, yearbook pictures were being taken this morning.
Every Boys State citizen will receive a yearbook.
They are mailed to their homes...usually in October.
Of course, there was still some time to just relax and have fun.
