Boys State is an experience that is life changing. As a resident of Libertyville, I seemed isolated from the Windy City politics of Chicago. Here on the first day, I was thrown into a whirlwind of ideas, people, and challenges; a whirlwind represented by the Nationalist Party.  I am very fortunate to have had a supportive group of friends who have helped me shape up into a compassionate and open leader. As I pushed myself into chairman of the city level, the same group of friends was supportive of my bid to chairman of the county level. Finally, by God’s grace my fellow county chairs elected me to State Chairman. This program is one that really cultivates and develops the soul of the citizens. It has helped me find my voice in life. I would really like to thank Boys State for giving me such an opportunity to grow.
