Wednesday Morning Update
Last night, candidates running for state office had their chance to address their fellow citizens. For some, this was the first time they ever spoke to more than 300 people. For others, this was the opportunity they were waiting for. Candidates have been campaigning day and night...trying to make their run to become 2009 Boys State Officials. The election is this morning at 10:15 AM. Results will be posted on the website this afternoon.

On coming to Boys State, I didn't know what to expect from the program or how I would fit in the program. When we gathered into our city parties, I decided I would put myself in a new situation and see what would come of it. After winning City Party Chairman, I decided I wanted to lead the party and help the citizens of Boys state elect the strongest candidates for every position. I am excited to lead the State Federalist Party Central Committee and lead the party in its selection of the strongest candidates. I have greatly enjoyed putting myself in new situations and am looking forward to leading the state party convention.
