Boys State has caught me by surprise.  The week prior I was planning on not even attending, even up to the night before. However, shortly after arriving I realized that I really wanted to make a mark here, just as my brother did during his Boys State experience.  I made it a goal to rise to the top and since I made that choice in my head, I have been elected mayor of my city and party chair of the Nationalist party.  I am currently seeking the nomination of my party for governor of Boys State.  The Boys State experience so far has been a once in a lifetime event.  The friendships and bonds I have built with the other citizens in such a short time is unbelievable.  I know I will truly miss Boys State after Friday.
