My experience at Boys State has been a positive one. I have made so many friends of different races and backgrounds. It has been so fun to come together as a group of people for one common goal to be a Model County. I have learned so much about the election process and what it takes to be in certain positions. I played football for my county, and I am alderman for Ward 1 and the police officer of my city. The things you can do at Boys State are endless. We are ALL LEADERS and it is so much fun being a part of this. Thank you to all the people involved in making Boys State. I am forever grateful. I am now so much more proud being a part of this great nation and government. Boys State has made me realize that to make this nation great you have to 1) start at an early age and 2) make a commitment and be proud of your nation. I will take with me everything I have learned and apply it to my life later on.
